Book Notes are meant to be discussions of a book, recent or not, that covers fully or indirectly subjects of International affairs or domestic politics that relate to our world today with the view that they should be read. These books can be works of non-fiction or fiction such as novels as the case may be. They may be central to the defense of Western liberal values and way of life or dealing with key features of the ethos of Desperate Measures such as free markets, free trade or globalisation. Please bear in mind that Book Notes while aimed at not being overtly long will be less time indulgent of your time that the briefer Interludes should be. As for Interludes, the plan is for Book Notes to be a sharing of personal experiences and quick breath of fresh air, also with their requisite dose of wit and fun.
